My mother bought me an espresso machine recently and I have to say that I am still at a loss as to how much sugar to add so that it doesn’t taste bitter. I like my coffee sweet and have discovered that American coffee is very forgiving when it comes to adding sugar. It won’t taste bitter if you put too much. Espresso is a beast of a different nature, which I have yet to tame. Right now, I’m at about a teaspoon and a half. Not too bad, but I know it can be better 🙂 Any suggestions out there? Please feel free to respond and let me know if there is an ideal and precise measurement for that perfect cup of espresso.
